Trinity United Methodist Church is committed to serving those in need, regardless of background, income, origin, race, or gender. Help is help. Explore the many ways our church provides support in the community and discover how you can join us in making a difference.

Joyful Place Respite Ministry

Joyful Place Respite provides a welcoming, supportive space for adults living with mild to moderate memory loss or related conditions. Trained staff and volunteers lead engaging activities like music, creative arts, exercise, games, pet visits, and more. Lunch is included, and participants can attend one or two days a week.

This ministry also gives caregivers a needed break, offering peace of mind while their loved ones enjoy fellowship and stimulation. In addition, our Joyful Chapel service meets monthly with a gentle worship experience designed for those with memory loss, their caregivers, and the wider community.

Joyful Place meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Admission to the respite ministry will be based on the applicant's ability to participate and the initial interview with the director. We take the following things into consideration when evaluating whether or not someone would benefit from our program.

  • Medical stability - a participant may be frail and have medical concerns, but must be stable.
  • Ability to eat and attend to bathroom needs on their own.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk independently or with the use of a cane or walker.
  • Would benefit from a group respite setting

Please call or email with any questions or interest. We look forward to hearing from you!

Our Daily Bread Ministry

We believes that serving others is an integral part of serving Christ, and we offer many opportunities to give of our time and gifts. "Our Daily Bread" Food Ministry serves free food Monday through Friday and is open to all. We are always in need of volunteers to food prep, serve, and clean up.

The kitchen is currently open Monday - Friday from 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. serving sack lunches.

Local Partnerships

Throughout the year, Trinity United Methodist partners with organizations like One Hopeful Place, Embrace Florida Kids, Children in Crisis, and more. We serve through projects like Baskets of Blessings, creating Easter baskets for local schools, One Hopeful Place, and Shelter House, and Stock the Sleigh, partnering with local schools to provide holiday gifts for families in need.

We love being part of this community and believe that by helping our neighbors, we are living out Jesus’ call to love others as ourselves. Through these partnerships and acts of service, we trust that God uses even our simplest efforts to make a meaningful difference and guide others to follow Him.
