Christina Shaver has always had a heart for God and answered her call to ministry at just 19 years old. She graduated from Millsaps College in 2007 and earned her Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in 2010. Christina first served at Trinity UMC as Associate Pastor for six years before being appointed to St. Paul United Methodist Church in Gulf Breeze, Florida, where she faithfully served as Pastor for eight years. Since joining Trinity in July 2024, she has grown deeply grateful for this community and is continually inspired by the ways God is moving within the congregation as she serves as Senior Pastor.
Christina is married to Jonathan Shaver, and together they have two energetic and wonderful boys, James and George. Life in the Shaver household is full and lively, and Christina considers her family her greatest blessing. In her free time, she enjoys walking, reading, helping her boys practice piano, and planning cruises.
She is deeply rooted in the promise of John 16:33: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” This verse reflects her unwavering belief that God’s love is greater than any hurt, grief, or obstacle.
